The Northern Blood Kelp Zone also harbors a Sanctuary Cache, which is located in the deeper areas of the biome.Ī corridor leading to the Lost River is located in the Northern Blood Kelp Zone. It was set up to study the Ancient Skeleton and several other specimens within the Lost River. There are Salt Deposits and Gel Sacks around some of the bushes. Lost River Ghost Canyon Coordinates -1111 -685 -655 Music Ancient Aliens Original Inhabitants The Laboratory Cache is found in the Ghost Canyon of the Lost River. Unique to the Northern Blood Kelp Zone are Crabsquids and a single adult Ghost Leviathan, as well as small " underwater islands" supported by Ancient Floaters and Bloodroots. It features a cavern system located below the Bloodvines where their roots can be found. This zone is considerably larger than the Trench, albeit being more exposed to the surface and not as deep. The Northern Blood Kelp Zone can be found to the north of Lifepod 5, in-between the Northwestern Mushroom Forest, Underwater Islands and Dunes. Ampeel Eggs can be found at the very bottom of the trench. Gel Sacks can only be found in the deepest area of this biome, below 500 meters, in the section below the wreck. This zone is considered unsuitable to explore with the Cyclops due to the trench's narrow width. One of the Wrecks can be found in this area, stuck between the trench's walls. It consists of a single deep trench with natural rock bridges spanning from one wall to another, and a small cavern system located below the Bloodvines where their roots can be found. The more confined spaces may make it more difficult to avoid them if one is not careful. The Trench lacks the Crabsquids and the Ghost Leviathan of the Northern Blood Kelp Zone, but still has predators in the form of Blighters, Ampeels, and Warpers. Spoiler alert: The following section contains story related material.The Blood Kelp Trench is located south-west from Lifepod 5, between the Dunes, the Sparse Reef, the Grassy Plateaus and the Sea Treader's Path. An example of this is finding a Stalker egg in the Jellyshroom Cave.Įggs can be used as fuel for the Bioreactor, though they provide far less energy than a hatched creature. Crashfish explosions can destroy their own eggs and habitat if they are too close. Hits with a knife will slice open the egg, resulting in no creature being spawned. Most normally aggressive creatures will not attack the player if hatched in the Alien Containment, allowing the player to scan it even after it is released in the wild. They can die inside of the aquarium, however, if the aquarium's population limit is surpassed.īaby creatures can be picked up and placed outside in the water, where they will instantly become fully grown. The hatched creature will slowly grow until it is moderately-sized or can fit within the confines of the Alien Containment. After one to three in-game days, the egg will hatch into a smaller version of its respective species. After placing an egg inside an Alien Containment, it will stay where it was placed. After learning this information this way in-game, or from the table below, similar eggs can be identified by the biome it comes from, its appearance, and size.Īlmost all eggs can be placed inside an Alien Containment. The PDA gives the player this information instantly no matter where they are, without needing to be present to observe which creature came from which egg. Until they hatch, an egg is labeled as an unknown creature egg, changing to match the name of the creature the egg contained if it hatches inside an Alien Containment. They are the unhatched versions of their respective Fauna. Eggs are items found in Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero.
